Light, stiff, fast – and comfortable
Thanks to the continuous cooperation of our engineers with the Team BULLS, the expression "less is better" acquires new importance in the fully revised frame of the Black Adder. Only weighing 2.09 pounds, the carbon hard tail of Team BULLS turns pedalling energy into merciless thrust thanks to the reinforced drive area. A shortened saddle tube, delicate sitting struts and a flatter top tube additionally ensure top comfort.
Safety brings speed
On the technically increasingly demanding marathon and cross-country routes, the Black Adder behaves with control and agility. And extended top tube at a shorter wheelbase adds safety and agility especially on a downhill run. On rises, the steeper sitting angle ensures the proverbial BULLS climbing power. Perfection is offered by the slightly shortened head tube in the "racing trim".
Integrated cable routing through the head tube
Thanks to the new cable routing through the head tube, the BULLS engineers have tidied up the cockpit of the Black Adder again. All the shifting groupsets up to Shimano Di2 and a telescopic saddle post are thus made nearly invisible and also protected from damage. Not to mention the impeccable look of the refined racer.

11-Speed Drive Train
The 11-speed drive train is used in both Road and MTB models. The cassette has 11 gears instead of 10 gears. This new 11-speed cassette has proved to improve efficiency and ultimately power thanks to its greater selection of gears
The travel of the front suspension is 100 mm, which allows for a smooth “swallow” of small and large impacts and beats resulting in a better adhesion to the ground
The frame is made of high-end carbon-fiber reinforced plastic. This material has a higher weight-specific strength and stiffness as compared to other materials. Carbon allows a more precise alignment of the construction that suits a rider's need
Press Fit
Press Fit bearings are pressed directly into the frame, rather than screwed. The press-fit inner bearing guarantees higher bicycle stiffness, thus increasing the lifespan of the bearings and overall lower weight
Shimano Shadow Plus
Shimano's Shadow Plus clutch mechanism prevents the lower arm of the derailleur from pivoting forward, meaning that the chain is kept under considerably more tension. The claimed benefits are many: Less chain slap, fewer dropped chains, more stable and accurate shifting over rough terrain and ultimately a much better and quieter ride
Tailored Chainstays
Higher frames require longer chainstays. The result is a much improved climbing capacity, which is relevant in large frames. After all, the centre of gravity clearly shifts backwards with a taller rider, specifically during the climb. Taller riders also need more space since they usually have longer feet, and for the longer cranks to avoid touching the chainstays with their heels
Tapered Steerer
This is semi-integrated headset with an inner diameter of 1 1/8 inch at the top and 1 1/2 inch at the bottom. This ensures best riding stability and excellent control head stiffness. The biggest shaft results in stiffer fork and frame as riding forces are spread more evenly thanks to a thicker head tube
The main advantages of this axle system are stiffness and strength, which added together results in a safer bicycle. It has a clear advantage on disc brakes over its traditional quick release counterpart as it allows for easier and more precise wheel mount/dismount operation
Internal Cable Routing
Internally routed shifting and braking lines ensure a clean and elegant look while ensuring a better protection to all important cables
Tubeless Technology
Tubeless clearly decreases rolling resistance of the wheels while reducing the overall weight of the bicycle. Additionally, there is some extra grip and comfort when riding at a low pressure
